Custom Rainbow Bridge Prints
A number of people have expressed interest in the custom Rainbow Bridge prints, where
we add a picture of your pet to the image.
Custom prints are very expensive, due to the labor involved and the cost of the single
print, and you shouldn’t order one unless you’re sure you’ll be happy with
it.
To help you decide, we offer the following alternative:
Order one of the regular prints for $19.95 plus shipping. Then, if you decide you want
to go ahead with the custom print, we’ll credit the $19.95 toward the cost of the new
print.
You may keep the regular print as our gift. Just give us the invoice number from your
original purchase, so we can credit it to your order.

Here’s how the price for the custom print breaks down:
- Individual print costs are $85 each for output only. This
isn’t an inkjet print: It’s a printer’s proof, and is very high quality.
- Artist’s fees range between $100 and $150 for the first image, depending on the
complexity of the image. Additional images would cost between $75 and $100 each.
So if you wanted a single image added to the print, it would cost between $185 and
$235. Once the custom image was created, you could have additional prints for $85 each.
The New Rainbow Bridge will retain the copyright for all custom prints, and will only
provide them in printed form. No electronic images will be provided unless otherwise
agreed to ahead of time in writing.
These prices assume you have a useable image for us to work from. If not, there would
be an additional charge for finding, photographing or purchasing a useable photo.
Allow at least 2 weeks, plus shipping time, for all custom print work; rush jobs are
available at an additional fee.
A few points to keep in mind:
- The image you want to add should be candid, and have some type of action in the picture:
If the animal is posed, it will look phony, and will ruin the overall feel of the print.
- Make sure you have the whole animal in the shot: It’s easier for us to crop the
image back than to add the missing part.
- You’ll get the best results if we can scan a slide or negative; a print is our last
choice. We will return the negative, slide or print when we’re finished.
- Images from most digital cameras aren’t useable, due to their low resolution and
poor color transitions. We work at a resolution of at least 300 dpi; anything lower will
become blurry. And video captures aren’t even worth considering.
